Eva Bolza-Schünemann
Consultant

James
Systems and Evaluation Specialist
James has 8 years of experience in strengthening organizational capacity in project management and MEL in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. He is an expert capacity builder and systems developer. James leads One South's work in dashboard development and reporting optimization.
James holds an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Nairobi and a BA in Economcis from Moi University.

Marieke van Egmond
Research Advisor
Marieke holds a PhD in Cross-cultural psychology. Her research examines topics relating to education and psychology from a cross-cultural perspective. At One South, she has developed and adapted psychometric measures for the evaluation of education and behavior change programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Marieke's work with One South has resulted in several peer reviewed publications.
Meet the team

Andrés
Founding Member
Andrés has over 12 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL). He has led evaluations of health, education, and advocacy programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He specializes in theory of change design and capacity building.
Andrés holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a BA in Integrated Social Sciences with a specialization in research methods from Jacobs University Bremen.
Andrés is currently on a leave of absence, serving as a MEL specialist at the UN FAO.
Tariq
Founding Member
Tariq has over 12 years of experience in MEL, supporting health, human rights, education, economic empowerment, and gender programs globally. He specializes in strengthening MEL systems and fostering an evidence culture within nonprofit organizations. He has significant experience in managing global impact reporting processes for nonprofits, federations, secretariats and their boards.
Tariq holds a MSc in International Relations Theory from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Politics and History with a specialization in research methods. He is currently completing a PhD in Public Policy with a focus on aid localization and administration.

Eva
Senior Consultant
Eva is a development management specialist with expertise in economic empowerment, education, and disability inclusion. She has supported projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America. This has included projects working to enhance the economic empowerment of youth through skills development and digital skills training and projects promoting improved teaching quality and school governance.
Eva holds a MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Politics and History (IPH) with a specialization in research methods from Jacobs University Bremen.
